OurTab terms of service

These terms govern your use of OurTab at ourtab.co. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. OurTab is operated by Kris Deane, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom.
What OurTab is
OurTab is a shared record-keeping tool for household shopping, meals and money. It helps you track who bought what, what's in stock, meal ideas, and who owes whom. It is not a bank, payment service, accounting service or source of financial advice. Money is settled between you and your household members outside the app; OurTab only records the figures you enter.
Accounts
You must give an accurate email address and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 to use OurTab.
Households and shared data
OurTab is built for shared use. When you create or join a household, members of that household can see and edit shared entries. You are responsible for who you invite and for the accuracy of what you enter. We are not responsible for disputes between household members over shared figures.
Acceptable use
Don't use OurTab unlawfully, don't attempt to access other households' data, don't disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, and don't use it to store unlawful content.
Free and Premium
Core OurTab is free. The AI Chef is free for a limited number of requests per household, after which a Premium subscription is required to continue using it. Premium costs £2.99 per month per household, billed through Stripe. It renews automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal in the app; cancellation stops future renewals and Premium remains active until the end of the paid period. Prices may change with reasonable notice. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a UK consumer, including any applicable cancellation rights.
AI Chef disclaimer
Chef's suggestions are AI-generated and provided "as is" for convenience. They are not professional dietary, nutritional or medical advice. You are responsible for checking ingredients and suitability — particularly allergies — before preparing any meal. Recipes Chef finds may come from third-party websites we do not control.
Availability
We aim to keep OurTab available and accurate but provide it without warranties. The service may be interrupted, change, or be discontinued. Keep your own records of anything important to you.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, OurTab is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from figures you or your household members entered, from reliance on AI Chef suggestions, or from service interruptions. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Termination
You can stop using OurTab and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. The "last updated" date above shows the current version; continued use after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
