How do I invite my partner or housemate?
One person creates the household, then everyone else joins it with a code — there's no per-person charge, so invite whoever shares the shopping.
- Open Settings and find your household's invite code.
- Send it to the other person however you like.
- They create an account, choose Join a household, and paste the code.
Invite codes are single-use: the moment someone joins with one, it's replaced with a fresh code, so a code left sitting in an old message can't let anyone else in. Inviting a third person just means sharing the new code from Settings — and an admin can press New code there at any time to retire one that was shared by mistake.
From that point you both see the same ledger, shopping list, inventory and meal plan, and changes appear for both of you. Only invite people you intend to share all of that with — removing someone later stops their future access but can't unsee what they already saw.
